Rockham Bay near Mortehoe, known locally as Mortehoe Beach, is a lovely secluded beach in a bay backed by rocky cliffs, with Bull Point Lighthouse sitting on the cliffs above the beach. Built by Trinity House in 1975—replacing an earlier light built in 1879—to guide vessels navigating off the North Devon coast. Seen here as the sun begins to set with flowering Heather growing atop one of the old stones walls in a stunning coastal setting. Mortehoe, North Devon. July 2021.
